We specialize in building the highest of quality desks to perfection and our desks are handcrafted from selected 100% solid wood boards, hand picked for the quality wood grain with the enhanced nature’s wood colors. Our desks are hand made using the best construction and joinery techniques known in the industry. Additionally, our drawers are solid wood dovetailed construction, using the steel ball-bearing drawer glides, including easy release drawer mechanism with the finest hardware accessories available. We use a hand rubbed natural oil finish on our desks to achieve that deep quality lustrous finish. We have 30 years of experience successfully building personalized desks for very happy customers. Each desk is hand built from start to finish personally by Neal Burns, the carvings are done by Judy Burns, with tremendous timeless hours into creating an exclusive hand carved desk, embellished with a genuine Specialty Woods signature inscription plate, signed, and dated to ensure its authenticity.

The carvings are hand carved with my favorite tools (Flexcut and Pfeil Swiss Made gouges in various sizes) and my carvings are hand sanded to perfection. Just a note: the pineapple is the symbol of generosity, welcome, warm hospitality, and of course wealth.

Prices - F.O.B. Spokane, WA. : When placing an order with Specialty Woods, we can provide a delivery schedule. Shipping is available in the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. We also ship Internationally upon request. Large or heavy items are required to be shipped on Van Lines, blanket wrapped. Some smaller custom pieces can be boxed and shipped with UPS or customers mailing preference. We ship nation - wide to all U.S. Cities.

Design : Any photos, sketches, or drawings will help in the design process. From design to reality the possibilities are endless. Together we can create that perfect piece you have been looking for.

Purchasing and Shipping : If you decide to purchase a custom product, Specialty Woods will send a cost proposal by Fax, e-mail, or postal mail. You return the signed sales proposal with a 50% deposit. All orders require a 50% deposit to begin the project. During the process of building a custom piece we keep our clients constantly up to date with progress reports and photos of their project. When the project is completed, we will send you detailed photos of the complete project. The remainder of the cost of the project is due prior to shipping. Most orders take 6 to 8 weeks from start to finish, depending on the size of project. Our prices are competitive, our quality is absolutely superior. We are sincere in our desire to provide you with a product you will cherish for many years into the future.
